Captain Joe Toto, owner and skilled craftsmen of JT Marine got his start with boats and boating at the early age of about 12 years old when he was already piloting his grandfather's Richardson. As he grew into his teens he owned a Boston Whaler which he modified and maintained regularly himself.
By the time he was a young adult, not only did he own his own inboard cabin craft, but overhauled engines, installed, electronics and steering units, did extensive carpentry and also became adept at maritime piloting and navigation.
Soon after that he obtained his 100 ton USCG Captain's license.
When he came to Florida in the 1980s, he almost immediately obtained a reputation for being an extraodinarily dependable, one of a kind top notch boat and yacht mechanic doing all phases of repair, modification and maintenance but primarily specializing in marine carpentry.
Captain Toto also has had jobs ferrying and piloting large yachts all through the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Bahamas sea basin as well as managing yachts and smaller boats for absentee owners.
